MOSCOW EXCHANGE WEBSITE

MOEX WEBSITE

DECEMBER 2022

Moscow Exchange is the largest financial platform in Russia, bringing together markets for stocks, bonds, derivatives, currencies, and precious metals. 3.9M users visit the website and actively engage in trading activities. With such a large and diverse audience, the challenge was to ensure intuitive navigation and a scalable structure that could support millions of active users.

I joined the Moscow Exchange team at a stage when the visual concept was already delivered by external design agency. The concepts were beautiful and full of potential, but they weren’t built with a product design approach. They didn’t quite solve real user or business needs and weren’t designed to scale or be reused consistently across the site.

My role was to take that visual direction and turn it into a fully functional, modern digital product. I focused on shaping clear user flows, defining key use cases, and designing an experience that worked just as well for first-time visitors as it did for seasoned market professionals.

This meant rethinking not just how the site looked, but how it worked, how users explore complex data, how easily they find what they need, and how the whole experience supports MOEX’s position as a modern, trusted financial platform.

To help extend the brand’s presence in media and strengthen its role as a source of reliable market data, the homepage features a dynamic widget showcasing key trends across the currency, stock, and derivatives markets.
This real-time snapshot not only adds value for everyday visitors but is also designed with media in mind. Each chart comes with a shareable link and a brief summary, making it easy for news outlets and social media channels to reference and repost current market movements.
